Fiscal Musings: Save Money At Lunch

Save Money At Lunch

For almost the last two years I've been bringing my lunch to work instead of buying lunch everyday in the on-site cafeteria. I often think about how much people spend though when they buy lunch everyday. The typical lunch costs about $5 which doesn't seem like all that much until you add it up over weeks and months.

It adds up to about $25 per week and over $100 per month. That's quite a bit of money these days, especially when you consider all the stress over the rising price of gas. Now, I understand that bringing lunch to work isn't free since groceries still have to be paid for, but usually the cost is significantly less. It's something to consider at least if you're looking to save a little money here and there.
